Epitome Biosystems, a leader in the development of novel protein measurement and discovery tools, is currently recruiting for the following positions:

Research Associate - Cell Biology

We are looking for an individual to join our highly dynamic, multidisciplinary research and development team focused on cell signaling and characterization of novel protein array reagents and methods. These reagents will be used in cutting edge planar and three dimensional multiplexed immunoassays. The candidate will design and conduct experiments under the supervision of a senior scientist. Responsibilities will include: conducting cell-based assays, maintaining established cell lines, preparing media and buffers, characterizing antibodies/reagents for immunoassay development, analyzing microarray data, generating written reports and performing general lab duties in support of the discovery group. Required Experience: M.S. or B.S. in Biology, Biochemistry or related science with a minimum of 2 years laboratory experience. This position requires experience in sterile technique and mammalian cell culture including propagation and maintenance of established cell lines. In addition, prior experience in standard protein biochemistry techniques including SDS-PAGE, Western blotting, and immunoassays are desired. Furthermore, the candidate must possess excellent oral/written communication, organizational and interpersonal skills and be able to multi-task and thrive in a team/goal-oriented environment.

Research Associate - Mammalian Signal Transduction

We are currently recruiting for a research associate with experience in the analysis of mammalian signal transduction, but with a strong background in analytical biochemistry. Applicants should have experience with cell culture and immunological approaches to biological sample analysis, including Western blotting, ELISA development and immunoprecipitation in the validation of cellular models of signal transduction. The successful candidate will demonstrate the use of these techniques in supporting analytical approaches for proteomic analysis using LC/MS. Responsibilities will include designing and conducting experiments under the supervision of a senior scientist and preparation of written reports as well as the development of standard operating procedures. The position requires a Masters in biochemistry or a related field or a B.S. degree with a minimum of 3 years laboratory experience.

Research Associate - Protein Array Reagents

We are currently recruiting for a research associate to actively participate in our product development program. We are looking for an individual to contribute to a team effort in the characterization of novel protein array reagents and methods to be used in cutting edge planar and three dimensional multiplexed immunoassays. The successful candidate will posses the following skill set: direct experience with protein chemistry techniques including SDS-PAGE, Western blotting, proteolytic digestion, antibody characterization, protein labeling chemistry and immunoassay development and ELISA. Experience with micro-arrays is highly desirable but not required. Responsibilities will include designing and conducting experiments under the supervision of a senior scientist and preparation of written reports as well as the development of standard operating procedures. This position requires an M.S. level of education or B.S. level with a minimum of 3 years experience. Prior industrial experience is a plus.
