Epitome offers a full suite of products and services that are setting a new standard
for quantitative protein and phosphorylation measurements in biological systems. Epitome’s
Mass Spectrometry-based Discovery Platform, Q-SONAR™, provides broad, quantitative phosphorylation
profiling of cells that can be used to develop high-content, high-value assays for drug
discovery and development and the practice of clinical medicine.
EpiTag™ technology is incorporated into two distinct product lines,
phosphorylation profiling chips and EpiTag™ Multiplex Assays. EpiTag™ technology enables
quantitative, multiplexed and highly specific total protein and site-specific phosphorylation
measurements. EpiTag™ profiling chips
(e.g. Ti-Tyr™ Chip) complement mass
spectrometry profiling by providing an easy-to-use, higher throughput approach for targeted,
site-specific phosphorylation analyses. EpiTag™ profiling chips provide fingerprints
of phosphorylation changes across signaling pathways that can be used by researchers
throughout the drug discovery and development process.

Q-SONAR™ Discovery Partnerships
Epitome’s Mass Spectrometry-based Discovery Platform, Q-SONAR™, provides broad, quantitative
phosphorylation profiling of cells and tissues to elucidate signaling network components/interactions,
identify important biomarkers and drive the development of high-content, high-value assays.
Through client collaborations, Epitome’s Q-SONAR™ Discovery Partnerships need to generate phosphorylation profiles across cell
networks under various treatment, temporal or stimulation conditions allowing for the monitoring
of relevant changes associated with disease biology and therapeutic drug effects. Key
applications include:
- Biological Pathway Analysis
- Drug Target Validation
- Cell/Tissue Profiling
- Compound Profiling
|
- Compound Dose Response Profiling
- Biomarker Discovery/Validation
- Model Systems (PK/PD, tox)

EpiTag™ Phosphorylation Profiling Chips
Ti-Tyr™ Phosphorylation Profiling Chips:
Epitome’s Ti-Tyr™ Chip is the first in a series of phosphorylation analysis products
with the unique capability of broadly profiling intracellular phosphorylation. The Ti-Tyr™
Chip is an easy-to-use, high-throughput approach for assessing the functional states
of cells by profiling tyrosine phosphorylation changes across signaling pathways and
cell phenotypes. Site-specific, quantitative measurements, with picomolar sensitivity,
support diverse sample types and applications across the drug discovery/development continuum.
The first generation Ti-Tyr™ Chip is available on a fee-for-service basis or as part
of an Early-access Program. Additional profiling
chips using EpiTag™ technology are under
development for threonine (Thr-Put™) and serine (Ser-Vey™) phosphorylation, as well as
for targeted pathway analyses.
Figure: Ti-Tyr™ Phosphorylation Profiling Chips containing EpiTag™ capture antibodies
covalently immobilized on glass slides for multiplexed phosphorylation measurements of
cell or tissue samples. Ti-Tyr™ Chips are printed with 16 identical arrays or the equivalent
of “16 wells,” each containing four subarrays that have 42 unique EpiTag™ antibodies
and controls. This format enables the simultaneous measurement of samples and the generation
of EpiTag™ standard curves. Cell or tissue lysates are proteolytically digested, introduced
onto the chip, and combined with detection antibodies to complete a “sandwich immunoassay.”
EpiTag™ standard curves give absolute quantitative measurements of the targets in each
sample.
